Your WordPress site includes the creation of at least one email address for your convenience. You can easily set it up by using the instructions given in documentation.
In order to set up outgoing email, you need to configure and use the WP Mail SMTP plugin, which is preinstalled on our WordPress installations. If you already have an email you can also connect it to your website. Follow the instructions below and set it up easily. Whether you’re using thunderbird, outlook, iOS or macOS, we’ve got you covered.
Connect your Email Accounts
Connecting your MagicPress email to the various Email Services out there like Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple iOS & OS gets easily done by following the instructions given:
Outlook
- Open your Outlook and press Next
- Tap Yes and then Next
- Enter your information and press Manually configure server settings
- Choose Internet E-mail
- And enter the following information:
Your name and email address
- Account type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: mail1.magicpress-users.net
- Outgoing mail server: mail1.magicpress-users.net
- Username: your full email address
- Password
Choose More Settings and go on the Advanced tab. Insert the following information:
- Incoming server (IMAP): 143
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: STARTTLS
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: STARTTLS
Choose OK > Next > Finish. If you wish to add a different account, press Add another account and repeat the process.
Thunderbird
Normally, Thunderbird will automatically pop a window for you to add your email information or create a new one.
If you already have an Email address, press use my existing email, add your information and press Continue
Press the Manual Configuration to abort the lookup of your settings
Edit the server names, port and IMAP with the following information:
Incoming Mail Server
- Protocol: IMAP
- Server hostname: mail1.magicpress-users.net
- Server port: 143
- Authentication: Password
- SSL/TLS: STARTTLS
Outgoing Mail Server
- Protocol: SMTP
- Server hostname: mail1.magicpress-users.net
- Server port: 587
- Authentication: Password
- SSL/TLS: STARTTLS
When finished press Done.
Alternatively if this window does not show you can go on the right side of your screen, under preferences, pick Account Settings
go on the bottom left.
Press Account Actions
and pick Add Mail Account. Enter your email information and press continue.
Choose Manual Configuration like before and enter the information given above.
Press Done.
Apple OS
- Open the mail application that pre-exists in your MacBook.It will take you to your menu and a window will pop. If you already have an email account but wish to create another one, go under Mail and press Add account.
- Select Other from the options given
- Fill your information and press Sign in
- Fill the server information provided below:
Incoming mail server
- Protocol: IMAP
- Server hostname: mail1.magicpress-users.net
- Server port: 143
- Authentication: Password
- SSL/TLS: STARTTLS
Outgoing mail server
- Protocol: SMTP
- Server hostname: mail1.magicpress-users.net
- Server port: 587
- Authentication: Password
- SSL/TLS: STARTTLS
Press Sign In when you’re done.
Apple iOS
- Go on your Settings and press Mail
- tap Accounts, then Add account.
- Select Other
- Press Add Mail Account.
- Fill your information and add a small description of your Account. Press Next.
- Press IMAP and enter the following information for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server:
Incoming mail server
- Protocol: IMAP
- Server hostname: mail1.magicpress-users.net
- Server port: 143
- Authentication: Password
- SSL/TLS: STARTTLS
Outgoing mail server
- Protocol: SMTP
- Server hostname: mail1.magicpress-users.net
- Server port: 587
- Authentication: Password
- SSL/TLS: STARTTLS
Tap Next.In case the server needs verifying, Press Details
Press Trust
- Press Save.
Upon completion, it will automatically take you to your new menu.
